Civil aviation is a powerful force of progress in the modern global society. There is an aircraft landing or taking off somewhere in the world every second of the day, 7 days a week all year round. For the past four decades aviation security has become an essential factor in international civil aviation, thus, the role of training in this field of knowledge cannot be underestimated. Due to the fact that International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is especially concerned with implementing high standards in aviation security there has appeared a necessity to train personnel. For this reason a regional network of aviation security training centers has been created. The word the after the words in 1998 and replace for instead of example In 1998 the ICAO training centre for aviation security of State Enterprise Boryspil International Airport was created. Its history is inseparable from the history and development of “Boryspil” International Airport”. In 1996 the aviation security training centre for personnel was added to the aviation security structure of “Boryspil” airport. And in 1998 it was acknowledged as an ICAO aviation security training centre by the President of ICAO council Assad Kotaite. Numerous specialists from many countries have been trained in all aspects of aviation security during the centre's 12 year history and currently personnel from the following countries are undergoing training:- Ukraine, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Russian Federation, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Botswana, Hungary, Georgia, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Croatia. Main Goals of the ICAO Aviation Security Training Centre Boryspil Airport: aviation security courses in various fields of aviation security; implementation of distant learning in aviation security training; usage of computer based training techniques; close cooperation with aviation authorities of Ukraine and the regional network of ICAO training centres in order to increase quality and improve educational techniques; close cooperation with airports, airlines and carriers in terms of personnel training in aviation security.
