Information Technologies Department of SE “Boryspil International Airport” in association with Granato Ltd. implemented Visual Information System for the passengers of airport apron buses that transport passengers from the terminal complex to the aircraft.

On 29 March, 2009 British Midland International (BMI), the British airline started to operate regular flights to Boryspil airport en-route London – Kyiv- London using Airbus A 320 aircraft 5 times per week.

Borispol International Airport, Ukraine, acquires a new Resource Management System from PDC, Denmark. 
Borispol International Airport is preparing for growth and particularly due to the Euro Football Cup 2012 where many foreign spectators, participants and press people are expected to travel to Ukraine.  The preparations include implementation of a new Resource Management System which allows the airport to plan, manage and operate the airport facilities as well as their staff and mobile equipment.

On the 13th of November 2008 Boryspil Airport registered it's 6 millionth passenger  since the beginning of the year. Zaymak Sergiy purchased a ticket for the flight UND - 350 to Kharkiv with “Dnipravia” airline and was awarded a valuable prize by the airport administration.

On the 24th of October 2008, at the “Boryspil” International Airport, at a specially assigned and prepared site for the building of terminal “D”, an inaugural placement of the foundation stone took place attended by,  the Minister of transportation and communication of Ukraine Josip Vinsky, Ambassador of Japan in Ukraine Mr. Tadashi Izava, Ambassador of Turkey in Ukraine Mr. Erdogan Isdjana, Boryspil vice mayor Mikola Korneychuk, vice head of Boryspil town administration Anatoly Bernadskiy, President of the company “Dogus” Burak Talu and General Manager of SE IA “Boryspil” Boris Shakhsuvarov. 

The first “Vizz Air Ukraine” low-cost flight to Simpheropol has recently left airport “Boryspil” (11th of July 2008). “Air Arabia” is the second airline which started low-cost flights to Ukraine. The first flight of this airline was committed on the 15th of October 2008. Airplane Airbus 320 landed at SE IA “Boryspil” at 4:25 p.m. The ceremony consisted of the ribbon being cut and press conference afterwards.
